Built for plumbers

For plumbers: answer the burst pipe before the next bloke does.

When water's going everywhere, people book whoever answers first. Quickbell replies to new website enquiries in about a minute, asks the questions you'd ask, and sends your booking link while you're still under the house.

Sound familiar?

When enquiries land for plumbers

These are made-up but typical moments. Each one is a person who'd like to hear back soon.

Hot water's gone

Someone fills in your form before work: cold shower, tank leaking. They've filled in two other forms too.

Blocked drain

Sewage smell, gurgling floor waste. You're at your kid's footy. They want someone today.

Bathroom reno quote

A bigger job. They're collecting quotes and keen to talk to whoever gets back with sensible questions.

Dripping tap, not urgent

Small job, but a future customer. A quick reply now makes them more likely to wait for you.

What a first reply could look like

A made-up example. You'd approve your own wording during setup.

  • Says it's an automatic first reply
  • Asks one or two useful questions
  • Sends your booking link
  • You get a summary straight away

The kind of questions it can ask

You choose the questions during setup. These are the sort we'd suggest for plumbers. We keep it to one or two per reply, so it doesn't feel like a form.

  • Is it leaking right now, or has it stopped?
  • Hot water: gas or electric, and roughly how old?
  • Is the water turned off at the meter?
  • Which suburb, and is it a house, unit or business?
  • How soon do you need someone?

Good to know

  • Your emergency number can go in every reply, so true emergencies still reach you by phone.
  • The reply never diagnoses the problem or quotes a call-out fee. That stays with you.
  • You choose which jobs you don't take (say, gas fitting or big commercial jobs), and the reply can say so politely.
Is it a fit?

Honest answer

We're starting the Quickbell pilot with plumbers and electricians in Sydney, so this is exactly who we're building it for.

  • A good fit if you get enquiries through a form on your website and you're on the tools most of the day.
  • Less of a fit (for now) if most of your work comes from phone calls or texts. Those are coming later.
Can it tell customers my call-out fee?

No. Quickbell never quotes prices. If you want customers to know there's a call-out fee, the reply can say "we'll confirm pricing when we call you", in words you approve.

What about real emergencies?

The reply can include your emergency number and wording you approve for anything that can't wait. Quickbell won't give safety advice; it points people to you.
